At the concert we hope to raise funds for the Icelandic branch of the international labor union Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), which has fought for the rights of the workers and the unemployed worldwide since 1905. We emphasize workplace democracy and mutual respect as well as high salaries and full labor rights for everyone regardless of nationality, gender or occupation.
The artists that play will donate their earnings and the profit from the concert will be used to send our representatives to a course on workplace organizing abroad.
The labor movement needs a kick in the butt… kick with us!
